Iran holds 12th National Ash Festival

Iran’s Zanjan Province has hosted the 12th edition of the National Iranian Ash Festival.

The organizers introduced the winners of different sections, including cooking Ash and making handicrafts, at the closing ceremony of the event held last week.

Cooks from 26 Iranian provinces offered their potages at this edition of the festival.

More than 120 pavilions of handicrafts, presenting precious gems and jewelries from all the Iranian provinces, were held on the sidelines of the event.

Ash is a traditional Persian potage, cooked with ingredients such as different types of beans, seeds, nuts and vegetables.

Launched in 2005, the national Iranian Potage Festival promotes local Iranian dishes with the motto “Iranian dish, worldwide meal”.

Let’s have a look at some colorful images of the event.
